Error processing SSI file
Engine and gearbox trial fitted.
Initially rested on blocks of wood the same thickness as engine mounts, adjusted location then drilled through wood blocks and engine mounting plates on chassis.
Engine mounts fitted, propshaft installed and engine and gearbox bolted in.
Now we're getting somewhere!

Hole cut in offside engine bay body for exhaust headers.
Headers loosely bolted to engine, installed into collector and silencer fitted to collector.
Fabricated bracket to support silencer, bolted to chassis and all fixings tightened.

Clutch cable fitted - having read about potential problems caused by proximity to exhaust headers, I sourced an extra-long cable with added heat insulation. Clutch cable
Transmission tunnel top in place, secured with self-tappers. tunnel top
Fuel filler location marked on masking tape on rear bodywork.
Hole for filler neck cut out, neck offered up, mounting holes marked and drilled.
Filler neck bolted in place, filler hose connected to neck and tank and secured with heavy duty hose clamps.
Anti-spill valve fitted into breather hose.
Filler cap tether made from brass picture hanging wire, attached to cap and neck.
